Rooms & Security
Hostel rooms are mostly " quads", meaning two sets of bunk beds (4 beds per room). Larger (less expensive) dorms are also available with 6, 8 or 10 beds. Quad and Dorm beds are available in Male or Female-only and Co-ed rooms. Discount rates are available to SWAP/BUNAC, YHA/Hostelling International, VIP Backpackers, ISIC, ISE, GO and college/university student cardholders.
Washrooms:

Security:
Global Village Backpackers has made every effort to provide a safe environment for backpackers. Hostel security includes an electronic swipe card system so that only registered guests can access rooms. In addition, 24-hour staff and a video surveillance system keep an eye on things. Toronto's largest backpackers youth hostel is also fully equipped with the latest fire safety system.
We recommend getting a locker at check-in to store your important stuff. Our hostel makes every attempt to protect your belongings but travelers need to be smart about security. Don't leave important documents or money hanging around and don't let strangers into your room!
