 Global Village Backpackers is Toronto's original Backpackers youth hostel. We are located a few minutes walk to attractions including the CN Tower, the bars and clubs in the Entertainment District, the shops along trendy Queen St. West, the waterfront and the Kensington Market.
The "Village" offers backpackers 175 beds (privates, quads, triples, dorms and twins), 24-hour reception, keyless swipe-card security system, air-conditioning, a large outdoor licensed patio, in-house restaurant (with great food!) self-serve kitchen, laundry, storage lockers, FREE wireless internet, FREE pancake breakfast, local tour desk and Toronto's only in-house BACKPACKERS BAR, The Village Pub.
The building at 460 King St West was originally the Spadina Hotel where many celebrities stayed and played. Included in this distinguished list are the Rolling Stones, Jack Nicholson, the Tragically Hip, and Leonard Cohen.
